With every watch featuring a metal bracelet, we include a special tool (often called a link removal tool or pin pusher) free of charge, designed for you to adjust the bracelet length yourself. To shorten the bracelet using this tool:
- Locate the arrows: On the inner side of the bracelet links, look for small arrows. These indicate the direction in which you should push out the pin.
- Place the bracelet in the tool: Position the bracelet in the designated slot of the link removal tool so that the arrow points in the direction the pin will slide out. The tool's pusher tip should be aimed directly at the pin.
- Push out the pin: Gently turn the knob on the tool. This will advance the pusher, which will push the pin out of the link, following the direction of the arrow.
- Remove links: Once the pin is out, separate the link. Repeat this process for any additional links you need to remove. Remember to keep the removed links and pins for future use.
- Reconnect the bracelet: Join the remaining parts of the bracelet and slide the pin back in (ideally in the opposite direction to the arrows, or simply ensuring it goes in securely and completely). Make sure the pin is flush with the surface of the link and holds the bracelet together firmly. Sometimes, it may require a gentle push to fully insert.
Important: If you don't feel confident performing this adjustment or if you encounter resistance, do not use force. To avoid accidentally damaging your watch or bracelet, we recommend visiting a professional watchmaker.
Pay Close Attention to Condensation!
Temperature fluctuations can create a partial vacuum inside the watch, which in turn can lead to moisture condensing under the crystal (watch glass). Condensation appears as small droplets of moisture inside the watch and must be addressed immediately.
Moisture inside a watch does not disappear on its own just because the visible fogging clears. That's why properly drying the watch is so important. If the watch is not fully dried, the moisture can damage the movement, potentially causing irreversible harm.
No watch is 100% resistant to condensation, even if it is water-resistant. Condensation typically occurs when moving from extreme cold to high temperatures.
We are sorry if condensation appears in your watch; however, condensation is not a manufacturing defect and is therefore not covered by the warranty.
What can you do yourself?
There are a few ways you can try to dry your watch yourself:
- Place the watch in a sealed bag filled with uncooked rice, after first pulling out the crown (the knob used for setting the time). Seal the bag and leave the watch in it for at least 24 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture.
- Pull out the watch crown and place the watch near a radiator (not directly on it, but close enough for warmth, ensuring it's warm but not hot) or use a hairdryer (on a low, cool setting and from an appropriate distance to avoid overheating the watch).
Please remember that while these methods can help, we always recommend consulting a professional watchmaker. They can open the case back of the watch and dry it more effectively, as well as check the condition of the gaskets (seals).
